The FORCE Technical Advisory Group (TAG) consists of members from many different industries. Each industry represented in the TAG falls into one of two categories: 1) End-users of organic composts or 2) generators of organics feedstocks. With the assistance of the TAG members, FORCE understands the sentiments of Florida industries with regards to compost production and utilization. The FORCE TAG remains focused on expanding organics recycling in Florida.

The TAG consists of representatives from the following industries:

  • Horticultural Industry
  • Peat/Media Blender Industry
  • Poultry Industry
  • Private Sector Processing

  • RecycleFlorida Today, Inc.



  • The Scientific Advisory Council (SAC) was appointed the task of recommending analytical procedures to insure the quality and safety of composts produced in the Sumter County composting facility. The contruactual requirements of the SAC were to:
  • Recommend environmental testing of feedstocks and products to UF/IFAS
  • Consult established standards, including those set for drinking water, and the parameters listed in the EPA CFR Part 258, Appendices I and II.
  • Consult other appropriate data and then designate the parameters and types of analyses for those environmental measures judged to be important to the feedstocks and products.
